THE FINDINGS
A shared observation
1 in 4 adults
in Europe is affected by disability
80%
of disabilities are invisible
12M
of French people have a disability
Accessibility is no longer relegated to the sidelines of event projects. Organizers, venues, and service providers have all made it a priority, because disability, in its many forms, affects us all in one way or another. However, in the events industry, the subject of accessibility faces several complexities: numerous professions, varied needs, few shared benchmarks for knowing where to start, and coordination between stakeholders that is rarely established early enough.
It is from this observation that a collective approach was born.
Together with UNIMEV, the French Union of Event Professions, we have mobilized to combine field experience and create the white paper: "Accessibility in the events industry: your guide to best practices for inclusive events."
Because accessibility must be considered at every phase of event production, from conception to evaluation, with all industry stakeholders involved.
So that accessibility becomes a norm, a standard in event creation.
