This app is a small revolution for our island, as we previously lacked dedicated public transport applications. Given the challenges of getting around for visually impaired people on Reunion Island, we can celebrate this initiative by Car Jaune to improve their daily lives.
About
Car Jaune is the commercial brand for the intercity network of the Reunion Regional Council. With its 14 lines, the network serves the entire territory of Reunion Island. Car Jaune is the intercity transport network for Reunion Island, organized by the Reunion Region. It serves the entire territory with 14 regular lines, connecting the island's main towns. The network covers approximately 8 million kilometers per year and transports over 5.8 million passengers, thanks to a fleet of nearly 80 vehicles in daily service.

Improving the accessibility of the Car Jaune transport network
The 2019 Mobility Orientation Law (LOM) requires public and private stakeholders to "facilitate and encourage the deployment of new solutions to enable everyone to get around." The autonomy of people with disabilities is a key issue on which Transdev carries out numerous concrete actions in the regions where it operates. The stations of the Car Jaune public transport network are aging and have limited accessibility. The main challenge for Car Jaune was to find a solution to improve transport accessibility to provide a quality service without requiring heavy investment. Always looking for ways to improve the passenger experience, Transdev responded to the requests of people with disabilities by studying the implementation of the Ezymob application on the Car Jaune transport network.
