In Besançon, we are accustomed to involving our clients in every project during the experimental phase to meet passenger expectations and make adjustments. In the specific case of Ezymob, we worked directly with the CRDV association.
About
Grand Besançon Métropole is an urban community located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, surrounding the city of Besançon (the prefecture of the Doubs department). It encompasses 68 municipalities over approximately 528 km², with nearly 200,000 inhabitants, about 60% of whom reside in Besançon itself.
Every day, 95,000 passengers use the Ginko public transport network, managed by the transport authority Grand Besançon Métropole.
Improving the accessibility of the Ginko transport network
The 2019 Mobility Orientation Law (LOM) requires public and private stakeholders to "facilitate and encourage the deployment of new solutions to enable everyone to travel." The autonomy of people with disabilities is one of the essential topics on which Keolis carries out a large number of concrete actions with the urban areas where it operates. Always looking for solutions to improve transport accessibility and the passenger experience, Grand Besançon Métropole responded to the request from the Resource Center for the Visually Impaired (CRDV) to study the implementation of the Ezymob application on the Ginko public transport network.
